And a hearty ROFL for its Yummy Pie, too
(check your WP dashboard if the reference escapes you). In the past few days I got my first taste of a spammers wave on my Wordpress site. They were trying everything but the doorbell, but no luck. Akismet saw through all them devious scammers. WassUp as well. So, fair warning, I know where you come from.
Why, I wondered just now, would somebody want to take the effort of typing *this* as a comment under my short message about Adobe Marketplace, and leave no link, not even an obvious spammers link in the user name:
Apologize for my bad english, I deliberate on its a nice drama of your writing. Kind-heartedly I organize faced alot of difficulties in this train but your article resolution definately escape me in future.
Yessir! The trick, apparently, is to add your profile to another sucker site, and add a link in the profile to your “Debt Settlement and General Spam” effort. Link to that in the “author” field in the hope that people are going to click on that in big numbers. The idea being that the profile page is kosher and would therefor fool the spam-catcher.
Well, no dice. Akismet saw through that one as well. But fyi, I got this type’s IP right here: 116.71.19.12, which resolves to Karachi, Pakistan.
