I love *customizing*, so here’s a custom social buttons plugin for WordPress that will not let you customize anything… heh. Basically, it’s made for use within this site, and I only have this fixed set of requirements for the buttons under each post, so I didn’t add any options page to this plugin. I wanted to have separate groups for the classic social buttons, the twitter- and rss- options, and the e-mail address. And show them in a visually structured way. That’s all it does. You can see the plugin in action on this page.
But if anybody likes the way it looks – and is also wondering if your plugin really needs that sheer *number* of social sites you never heard of – for example those in the Sociable plugin – I provide the source here as a download. You’re welcome to give it a try!
